Christian Zürcher
Christian has had a career in trade and export finance spanning 40 years.
In addition to his consultancy work, he is currently involved in sales for a start-up bank in Frankfurt that offers ECA-covered buyer financing in the so-called small ticket segment. His main role is to acquire and advise exporters, mainly in the mid-market engineering sector.
Previously, Christian was responsible for sales in the DACH region for a Swedish FinTech. His task was to support the market launch of a platform for paperless processing of foreign trade transactions and customer acquisition. His professional background includes several years as a foreign trade consultant at a commercial bank, various export financing functions at a large industrial group and a trainee programme at the German ECA Euler Hermes.
Christian holds a law degree from the University of Hamburg.
Thanks to his various employers, Christian is familiar with all aspects of the trade and export finance business and is therefore able to bring a wide range of expertise to the advisory process.
Married with one daughter and two stepdaughters, Christian lives with his wife, two dogs and two cats in south-west Germany on the edge of the Black Forest.
