Kai is an emerging and developing markets finance executive with a global network among export credit agencies, multilateral and commercial banks, exporters and importers. He leverages private and official finance capabilities for better outcomes in export- & project finance. 

During the last 40+ years, Kai practiced export-, project and development finance from the perspective of exporters, banks, ECAs/EXIM Banks and investors. He has arranged loan facilities and advised on transactions with and for ECAs globally. Kai has continually improved innovation and successfully promoted the unique market-complementing and anticyclical mandate of ECAs, being it for corporate, bank, project finance or sovereign borrowers. 

Kai also serves on claims management specialist Recovery Advisors’ Board and is a senior associate with the strategic public finance actoRx. He supports investors of industrial and infrastructure projects, development funds and governments. Kai was ADB’s Head, Office of Cofinancing Operations, served as the Secretary General of the Berne Union, was Deputy respectively Global Head of Export Finance at UniCredit Bank and ANZ Bank, Co-Head Underwriting and Risk Management at Germany’s ECA Euler Hermes as well as Head of Financial Product Advisory for KfW IPEX Bank.
