From Bill to Act: - The Electronic Trade Document Act 2023
David Meynell, Digital Rules Advisor to C4DTI, has produced an update to the 2022 paper “ICC URDTT and the UK Law Commission Report and Bill on Electronic Trade Documents”.
The new paper focuses on how functional equivalence has been achieved between the ETDA and the MLETR and outlines the synergy between the two as key foundations for digital trade.
In addition, although not a pre-requisite for the handling of electronic trade documents, compatibility with ICC Digital Rules has also been detailed.
