Nicola Woodford is a seasoned business analyst with extensive experience in the financial technology sector. From 2013 to 2024, she served as a Principal Business Analyst at Finastra’s London office, where she was a Finastra Certified Implementer for Fusion Trade Innovation. In this role, Nicola was integral to the Global Services department, focusing on business design, workflow design, system integration requirements, test analysis, and user case design for testing. She played a key role in implementing internet-based systems like Trade Innovation and Corporate Portal, covering the complete project lifecycle from pre-sales to post-live support. Nicola also led business project requirements gathering, workflow design, system design, and client parameter build for projects across the UK and Europe.

Prior to her tenure at Finastra, Nicola was the Director and Business Analyst at Jarnvior Limited from 2011 to 2013. She led a project to implement a J2EE Global Trade Services platform for a bank in the Netherlands, working closely with business analysts, system developers, and the functional test team under Agile methodology. 

From 1998 to 2010, Nicola was a Senior Business Consultant at China Systems / Eximbills Technologies Limited, where she was involved in business design, workflow design, system integration, and implementation of internet-based systems. She worked on projects in the UK, Europe, USA, and the Far East, and was responsible for the initial design and implementation of the Payments system CS Pay Express in the UK.

Nicola’s career began in trade finance, with roles at Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Ltd, ABC International Bank Plc, and The Daiwa Bank Ltd, where she gained valuable experience in various aspects of trade finance operations.
